Restaurant review time.
I just went down to Cosa Nostra at Patak Villa in Chalong with my wife. It’s basically a converted house that’s now a restaurant. It has a good Italian style feel to it.
Starters ranged from 90 baht to 180 baht. We took some ham with mozzarella cheese and smoked salmon and cream cheese on bread. For mains I went a good ol spaghetti bolognaise, and the missus went for spaghetti with scallops in garlic butter. The food was extremely tasty. Good quality imported products and the service was good too.
I walked out fuller than a public school hat rack, and normally after eating out farang food my wife needs an emergency Kao Mun Gai or Chai See noodle refuel on the way home. Tonight she didn’t.
The cost was a shandy over 800 baht with beers and everything else. There is a complimentary desert which I couldn’t possibly have squeezed in.
I am giving Cosa Nostra a solid 8 out of 10. They lost half a point for the beers being a bit warm. Also the name Cosa Nostra I was expecting to see a few mafia heavies. 🙂
