Do you fancy checking out some of the less traveled parts of the island?
Or do you want to do a bit of shooting, shopping and Go-carting? Well the Phuket City Tour might be for you. Most people opt to visit Wat Chalong which is Phuket’s busiest temple, then head to the Big Buddha which is the largest Buddha in the Southern Hemisphere. Also no visit to Thailand is complete without a trip to the markets for some amazing bargains.
Would you like to get off the beaten track and explore Phuket’s local culture, mixed with a bit of fun? What about a day doing all the stuff that the local expats like to do here?
We can customize an island day of fun, depending on what you are interested to see and do. We make the suggestions and you make the choices.
Most people take a look at some of the amazing Thai temples (or Wat as they are known in Thai), the biggest and most important in Phuket being Wat Chalong.
The most popular temple for visitors is the Big Buddha (Wat Pra Yai), on Mount Karon which overlooks the whole of Phuket. The giant white marbled Buddha that presides over Phuket faces east and it is the first part of Phuket to catch the morning rays. You can even buy and sign the back of a marble tile that will get used in the ongoing contraction of the site.
Perhaps you’d enjoy some fun at the go-cart track, or maybe test your marksmanship at the local shooting range where an assortment of pistols and machine guns await you.
Most people cant resist the unbelievable bargains that can be had at the local markets, we recommend the Naka weekend markets in Phuket Town. This market has the best bargains and authentic Thai arts and crafts which is unmatched anywhere else in Phuket…This is where the locals shop!
Another popular route is to do the lookouts which Phuket offers. There are 3 very popular lookouts at Laem Promthep, Kata View Point and Kao Rang.
Great beaches off the beaten track include; Ao Sane, Nai Harn and Ya Nui, during the off seasons these beaches are mostly deserted.
Other popular attractions include; The Botanical Gardens, The Phuket Aquarium and The Orchid Farms
